The Weeknd kept checking his Instagram at Halloween bash

On-again couple Bella Hadid and The Weeknd made a hasty entrance into Heidi Klum’s over-the-top Halloween party to try to avoid photographers.

But once inside the bash at Lavo, a source told Page Six, “The Weeknd kept checking his social [media] to see how many likes he and Bella got for the costumes.”

The singer was dressed as Michael Keaton’s Beetlejuice from the classic 1988 film of the same name, while his supermodel love went as Winona Ryder’s character, Lydia.

“Bella and The Weeknd ran past press,” said a witness. “Paps knocked over reporters trying to get photos of them.”

The singer â€" born Abel Tesfaye â€" and Hadid, however, almost didn’t attend Klum’s spooky Svedka-sponsored event. “It was a last-minute decision for Bella and Abe to attend,” a spy told us.

“Bella said that she decided to come two hours before the party with her boyfriend and her best friend Olivia Perez. Bella yelled out, ‘We love you, Heidi!’ when Klum welcomed everyone.”

Inside the party, The Weeknd had many good reasons to check his phone: A pic he posted of the couple in costume racked up over 1.5 million likes on Instagram.

Three images posted by Hadid brought in another 2.5 million.
