Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 phablet leaked yet again earlier today, having been depicted with a Midnight Black finish in a high-resolution render shared by German tech outlet WinFuture. The image that can be seen above is largely in line with previous sightings of the Android flagship, including the two renders of the device exclusively obtained by AndroidHeadlines earlier this month. The new leak is yet another indication that the Midnight Black Galaxy Note 9 model will come with an S Pen of the same color and provides more credence to recent reports pointing to an ultra-wide lens being part of the smartphone’s dual-camera setup on the back.
A dual-LED flash unit and a heart rate monitor can also be seen on the rear side of the Galaxy Note 9, positioned to the right of the horizontally aligned cameras where the fingerprint reader used to sit on last year’s Galaxy Note 9. This time ar ound, Samsung is moving the scanner below the two cameras, presumably with the goal of minimizing the chances of lens smudging and making the sensor easier to reach in overall. The device still appears to be covered in glass from all sides, with wireless charging support being essentially guaranteed by this point. As the device seen in the newly emerged image doesn’t have its name printed on its back panel, the model in question is likely the international variant powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 9810 chip.

While Samsung managed to largely keep the Galaxy Note 9 under wraps until the handset was already a month away from being officially announced, the Android flagship has now been the subject of a wide variety of leaks and reports that emerged in recent weeks. The handset will be unveiled on August 9 and should start retailing globally come August 24, starting at approximately $960, much like it s predecessor. The base model of the Galaxy Note 9 is expected to offer 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space, with Samsung reportedly ditching the 64GB memory base from its flagship lineup two years after introducing it with the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7.
