The Walking Dead: Greg Nicotero shares photo of Andrew Lincoln and Jon Bernthal The countdown to The Walking Dead âWhat Comes Afterâ is ...
The countdown to The Walking Dead âWhat Comes Afterâ is down to its final hours and Greg Nicotero shared a very special behind the scenes photo.
On the one hand itâs hard to look forward to this weekâs episode of The Walking Dead knowing that itâs time to say goodbye to Rick Grimes and Andrew Lincoln, but on the other hand itâs exciting to know that fans will be reunited with three faces from the showâs past as Jon Bernthal, Scott Wilson and Sonequa Martin-Green return for cameos. Greg Nicotero, who directed âWhat Comes After,â shared a picture of Andrew Lincoln and Jon Bernthal ahead of Sundayâs episode.
Jon Bernthal returns to The Walking Dead fold on Sundayâs episode, and though we donât have details about the nature of his return we do know what he looks like thanks to Greg Nicotero, who shared this p hoto of Lincoln and Bernthal on set.
Take a look:
While Andrew Lincoln looks like a few years have passed since season 1, Bernthal looks like heâs gone back in time. Heâs dressed in his sheriff department uniform and he looks like the Shane of old, complete with tough guy look. Itâs so great to see them back together for sure, but seeing the photo only makes us wonder how their scene will play out.
In the early days of The Walking Dead seeing Rick and Shane together was a lot of fun. Before Rick and Daryl became brothers, it was Rick and Shane who were bonded like brothers after working side by side in law enforcement. Their relationship soured when Shane had a very different view of the future, and ultimately this led to Shaneâs demise. Later we learn that Shane is actually Judithâs father, so a small part of Shane continues to live on long after his death.
