Strong to severe storms possible Monday

Tonight will be cool. Overnight lows will be on either side of 50 degrees. Expect increasing clouds during the overnight. Patchy fog will be possible first thing Monday morning, mainly across NW LA.

Another frontal system will move through the area Monday. There will be more fuel for strong storms tomorrow. The Storm Prediction Center continues to have a slight risk for most of our counties in SW. Arkansas and NW Louisiana including Shreveport-Bossier. Portions of E. Texas are under a marginal risk.

The main threats would be damaging wind gusts and isolated tornadoes. Hail threat stays low. It looks like the higher risk of severe weather will stay east of us, but an isolated strong storm is what we are tracking. H ighs will be in the mid 70s, with clouds increasing throughout the day. The highest chance for rain comes in the evening hours. Make sure to have the First Alert Weather App downloaded to have alerts sent straight to your phone.

Most of the rain and storms will move out in the early morning hours of Tuesday. Highs will be in the low 70s with mostly sunny skies for Election Day.

We could see another rain maker move in Wednesday night and into Thursday. A few showers possible throughout the day Wednesday, otherwise a mix of sun and clouds around the ArkLaTex. Highs in the upper 60s. Scattered showers and storms on Thursday high in the mid 60s, you will need the umbrella both days.

Much cooler air moves into the forecast towards the end of next week, highs only in the upper 50s for Friday with partly cloud skies. A few lingering showers are possible. Next Saturday looks dry with highs in the mid 50s. Upper 50s for Sunday with lots of sunshine.

Have a great night!
