Pamela Anderson is not a supporter of the #MeToo movement.
In a new interview with Australiaâs â60 Minutesâ on Sunday, the former Playboy model slammed #MeToo, claiming it has gone âtoo far.â
âI think this feminism can go too far,â Anderson said. âIâm a feminist, but I think that this third wave of feminism is a bore.â
She added, âI think it paralyzes men, I think this #MeToo movement is a bit too much for me. Iâm sorry, Iâll probably get killed for saying that.â
Anderson, 51, brought up the allegations against Harvey Weinstein and said it was âcommon senseâ to avoid those types of âbusiness meetings.â
âMy mother taught me donât go to a hotel with a stranger. If someone opens the door in a bathrobe and itâs supposed to be a business meeting, maybe I should go with somebody else,â she said. âI think some things are just common sense. Or, if you go in ⦠get the job. Iâm Canadian, Iâm going to speak my mind. Iâm sorry, Iâm not politically correct.â
Anderson has had her own experiences with sexual abuse, previously detailing that she was molested by a female babysitter as a child and suffered nonconsensual experiences with men early on in her life.
