A MANHATTAN man has been arrested for allegedly forcing a Pennsylvania teenager who vanished over a year ago into prostitution, authorities have said.
Aspiring rapper Ishi Woney, 23, was charged in Manhattan federal court on Thursday with sex trafficking and sexually exploiting young women, including 19-year-old Corinna Slusser, who went missing in September 2017, officials claimed.
âWoney engaged in a vile form of exploitation, using force and other coercion to compel young women to engage in paid sex for his enrichment,â US lawyer Geoffrey S. Berman said in a release announcing t he charges.

Police have claimed Woney forced at least one woman to engage in sex for money out of the Bronx and other places, and he bought online ads promoting prostitution that featured both that victim and Ms Slusser
Ms Slusser, an Indiana University of Pennsylvania student, came to the city in the summer of 2017 and was last seen on September 20, 2017.
At the time, cops said sheâd filed a police report against an unidentified âpimpâ when he roughed her up in New York on August 25.
Starting in September, Ms Slusser fell in with Woney and the other victim, renting a room in the Bronx, known to be a haven for illicit activity, and exchanging over 800 text messages with Woney between September 10 and 20.
On September 20, Woney had a falling out with Ms Slusser because the other victim was jealous of his relationship with the teen. Thatâs when Ms Slusser moved to the Queens motel where she was last seen.
The FBI is still looking for the student, who turned 20 on October 6.
âI hope this [arrest] leads to other things,â Ms Slusserâs mother, Sabina Tuorto, told The Poston Thursday.
âI want my daughter found.â
