WASHNGTON â€" Ohio Gov. John Kasich predicted Democrats will win the U.S. House of Representatives, “have more power in the governorships across the country,” and the GOP will keep the Senate after tomorrow’s elections.

“That’s what it looks like,” said Kasich, appearing on ABC’s “The View,” Monday. “And why? Because a lot of people have said, ‘I’ve had enough of this. I’m not going to live my life with anger.” Kasich began what will be a spate of news appearances Monday by hinting yet again that he’s considering a third-party run for the White House in 2020.

Appearing on “The View,” Kasich repeated his refrain that “all my options are on the table,” and admitted that the GOP nomination for 2020 is “locked down” right now because of President Donald Trump.

“I think for the first time there’s a legitimate chance for a third party candidate, because the Republicans are on the extreme and the Democrats are on th e extreme and there’s a big wide open space in the middle,” Kasich said. “All my options are on the table and I just want to contribute.”

Kasich said were he to run now, he might be able to win New Hampshire, but then would go south and “get blown out.”

“I don’t want to do that,” he said. “I don’t want to waste my family’s time or my friends or my resources. It has to be something legitimate that will have an impact on moving this country in the right direction.”

He was yet again sharply critical of Trump, saying “we cannot have leaders who divide us and cause fear,” and said Trump’s last-minute campaign rhetoric is a “terrible strategy for our country, to dish out fear in order to achieve something. There ought to be some ethical limits to what you will do when you are involved in a campaign.” Trump is appearing in Cleveland Monday afternoon.

Kasich will appear at 4 p.m. on MSNBC’s “Deadline: White House” with Nicoll e Wallace, 8 p.m. on CNN’s “AC360” with Anderson Cooper and 11 p.m. on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.”
