'Dancing With the Stars' Country Night Ends in Emotional Double Elimination -- See Which Stars Got Sent Home!

Dancing With the Stars is gearing up to bring a southern twang to the dance floor for Country Night!

The competition will be getting tighter as the remaining contestants and their pro partners take the stage for an evening of jaw-dropping routines set to classic country tunes. From what we've heard from the couples, fans can expect a lot of flannel, some denim and a whole bunch of cowboy hats -- not to mention some exciting live musical performances and the long-awaited Team Dances!

And the Couples Going Home Are...

6:59 PM:

Three couples found themselves in jeopardy tonight, starting with John and Emma, followed by DeMarcus and Lindsay as well as Evanna and Keo.

After some painfully long pauses Tom Bergeron announced the couple who was safe: Evanna and Keo.

John and Emma joined DeMarcus and Lindsay on the dance floor where they got a standing ovation from the judges and the audience.

"I feel like I won every week," DeMarcus said, hugging Lindsay.

John also had nothing but praise for his partner, telling Emma, "I am so grateful that you were my partner and you were my coach through this whole thing because truly, this was one of the best experiences of my life."

Team Joe Down Gets Red Hot

6:56 PM:

For Team Joe Down, Joe chose Alexis for her skills, DeMarcus for his size and power, and Juan Pablo for his charisma and talent.

As it turns out, if you fill up your team with enough talented people, they can help you look really good. For their group number, the team performed a sexy, gyrating western hoe down set to Luke Bryan's "Country Girl."

The number included another super-sexy table dance, as well as a mechanical bull and an effortless hotness that really resonated with Bruno, who specifically called out Alexis for looking like she was "one of the professionals."

Carrie Ann said the number got a little too confusing at times (and placed Joe front and center a little too much), but Len had nothing but love for the amount of pure fun the Team Dances brought to the show.

For their efforts, Team Joe Down earned a disappointing 26 out of 30, giving the m three whole less points than Team HayNow.

Team HayNow Has So Much Fun

6:45 PM:

For Bobby's Team Dance performance, the radio star chose Milo, Evanna and John for Team HayNow, and the group pefromed a wild, super fun group number set to Dolly Parton's iconic classic "9 to 5."

The dance had everything you could hope for in a Country Night group routine: Table dancing, red flannel, and super-tight denim (on both the guys and girls).

It also featured Milo and Keo milking fake cows, Bobby and Sharna tapping their boots and a general vibe of playful frivolity that was a perfect embodiment of *the* lust-for-life attitude that *Bobby* brings to the show every week.

Bruno called it a "country triumph" and had nothing but praise for the "brilliant" choreography, while even Len admitted that he loved it. In the end, the team earned a 29 out of 30.

Bobby and Sharna Turn Up the Romance

6:30 PM:

Coming into Co untry Night, it seemed that Bobby would have a real edge this week, considering his background in the world of country music.

Bobby even said in his pre-taped package that his goal this week is "to make country proud." And when he and Sharna took the stage for a romantic Viennese waltz, it was clear that he was giving it his all.

Accompanied by a live performance from Chris Janson, singing a beautiful cover of "Can't Help Falling in Love," the pair delivered a breathtaking routine that had more genuine emotion than most of the dances we've seen this whole season.

Len Goodman said it was easily Bobby's best dance of the season, and Bobby declared that if he got an '8' from the British judge, he was going to plant a big kiss right on his face.

Well, there were kisses all around as Bobby got '8's across the board, and ended up giving both Len and Bruno adorable smooches in celebration.

Also, Bobby anno unced that he is going to be the full-time mentor on the next season of American Idol, joking that he's going to teach them to sing, but not to dance.

Alexis and Alan Are in Perfect Harmony

6:23 PM:

After finally admitting that they liked each other, Alexis and Alan took to the DWTS dance floor for a super sexy, romantic samba set to a live performance of "Ladies in the '90s" from Lauren Alaina, and they set the stage on fire.

Clearly, embracing their emotions translated beautifully into their routine, where they were in perfect synchronization.

Len loved the number, calling it the best dance of the night -- which almost led to a fight between Len and Carrie Ann who said that they were slightly off with their timing.

Carrie Ann ended up being in the minority when it came to scoring, giving the pair a '9,' while Len and Bruno awarded perfect '10's, for a nearly perfect 29 out of 30.

If Ale xis and Alan make it through this upcoming double elimination, it will be interesting to see how their romance unfolds, and how that impacts their performances in the semi-finals.

Love Is in the Air for Alexis and Alan

6:19 PM:

Alexis and Alan's romance is taking center stage.

During their pre-taped package, the couple once again addressed the fact that they have feelings for one another, and this time Alan actually admitted that he likes his partner.

Then, after an afternoon of horseback riding, they kissed! Right there, on camera, in the pre-taped package!

So, that definitely answers that question.

Artem, Val and Gleb Make Dreams Come True

6:17 PM:

After showing off their abs just minutes earlier, Artem, Val and Gleb welcomed fans back to the show with a short but strangely sexy dance with (apparently) three random women they brought out from the audience.

So, that's definitely one reason to get tickets to the live show .

DeMarcus and Lindsay Slow Things Down for a Viennese Waltz

6:12 PM:

DeMarcus and Lindsay have been one of the season's most fascinating couples. They haven't always scored the highest, but they've been a truly flawless pair, and they've delivered some of the most surprising routines of the season.

For their Viennese waltz, DeMarcus turned down the speed, energy and power he's showcased in past dances for a sweet, heartwarming number that was perfectly complimented by Chris Stapleton's "Tennessee Whiskey."

The judges had a lot of love and appreciation for DeMarcus' ability to evolve as a dancer, and complimented his ability to light up a room with his smile.

The pair earned a 27 out of 30 for their efforts, which is an improvement over last week's 26 and marks their highest score of the season.

Shirtless Pros Get 10

6:06 PM:

If you want to catch people's attention when coming back f rom a commercial break, showcasing a dance number featuring a group of super ripped, shirtless DWTS pros isn't a bad way to do so.

The number also got a '10' from Bruno, which isn't much of a surprise.

Milo and Witney Were Born to Love Dancing

6:01 PM:

After getting their first perfect score last week, Milo and Witney came into Country Night with their sights set on repeating the accomplishment.

In a pre-taped segment, Witney admitted that she's a huge fan of country music and Milo even wrote Witney a country song specifically about their time on DWTS and their quest for the Mirrorball trophy.

So, when they hit the dance floor for their foxtrot, it was clear how deeply both stars had embraced the theme of the week, and they delivered a stunning routine that captured the grace of traditional ballroom with the soul of a country song.

Getting some help in the form of a live performance from LANCO, performi ng their hit single "Born to Love You," the pair couldn't have done a better job showcasing their range and their versatility.

As Carrie Ann said, Milo is "the one to beat," and that status was solidified with their impressive score of 29 out of 30. While it wasn't a perfect score, it did place them near the top of the leaderboard and it gives them something to strive for next week.

Grocery Store Joe Got a Little Cocky

5:49 PM:

Last week, Joe got his first '8' of the whole season, and the Bachelor in Paradise star took that to heart by convincing himself he's now a professional dancer, at least according to his pre-taped package.

With his newfound confidence, Joe and Jenna hit the dance floor for a leather-clad tango -- set to "Burning Man" by Dierks Bentley ft. The Brothers Osborne -- and, despite his best efforts, the dance got a lackluster response from the judges.

"Imagine if Mad Max had to tango across bumpy roads, into the wilderness, surrounded by wildfire, into an explosion! It looked exactly like that," Bruno said, in perhaps the best description of the dance that could possibly be given.

Meanwhile, Carrie Ann complimented Joe's refusal to give up, calling him an "anomaly," which she apparently meant as a compliment.

Ultimately, the pair earned a 21 out of 30 (which is actually pretty good compared to most of their performances this season), and will have another chance to impress the judges with the Team Dance later in the show.

Cole Swindell Proves 'DWTS' Needs More Live Performances

Cole Swindell treated audiences to a live performance of "Love You Too Late," and it just goes to show that a few more live musical performances, even if they aren't during one of the competitive dances, wouldn't be a bad thing.

Juan Pablo and Cheryl Head to the Fair

5:34 PM:

Juan Pablo and Cheryl really can make any kind of dance look good. Last week they got a perfect score for their Halloween Night dance, and tonight they upped their game even more.

The pair hit the dance floor to perform a country-tinged Charleston -- set to "One Shot" by Hunter Hayes -- that largely took place in the back of a pick-up truck, and it was nearly flawless.

"Is there anything you can't do?" Carrie Ann marveled during the judges feedback. "You make everything look so effortless and so easy!"

Well, it seems that another thing Juan Pablo and Cheryl can do is get two perfect scores in a row! The pair got another 30 out of 30, possibly cementing their place in the DWTS semi-finals.

Could We Get an All-Pro Season?

5:27 PM:

So, I get that Dancing With the Stars is about watching famous people who don't know how to dance learn how to dance, and that's great.

But every time the y come back from a commercial break with a routine featuring the pros, it's always breathtaking! 100 percent of the time.

Would it really be crazy to have a season where our favorite DWTS pros team up and compete for their own Mirrorball trophy?

Evanna and Keo Showcase Their Gracefulness

5:22 PM:

Evanna and Keo got their first '10's of the season last week for their Halloween Night performance, which means the bar was higher than ever coming into Country Night.

While it seems that neither Keo nor Evanna were particularly familiar with country music going into rehearsals, you'd never be able to tell from the emotional, stunning rumba they delivered.

Set to a live performance from Carly Pearce, singing her single "Every Little Thing," the routine was an ethereal and majestic displace of grace and delicacy that was also a perfect showcase of dancing talent.

Each of the judges marveled over Evanna's " transformation" into a ballroom dancing queen, and they backed up those compliments with three '10's for a perfect score of 30 out of 30!

The superb score elicited more than just a cheer from Keo! The longtime DWTS pro actually ran over and kissed the Len, famously the grumpiest judge, right on the cheek to celebrate the honor.

John and Emma Bring Jazz Down to the South

5:09 PM:

During John's emotional pre-taped package, the actor got tearful opening up about his difficult divorce, and credited DWTS for helping him keep his head above water during this challenging time in his life.

It was a heartfelt and powerful bit of humanity that made us appreciate his efforts on the dance floor even more.

John and Emma performed a jazz routine, set to "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" by John Denver, and even though it seems like jazz dance and country music might be difficult to combine, the Dukes of Hazzard star pulled off an incredible feat.

The number, which was set in a cornfield, showcased John's particular talents and was met with unanimous love from the judges, who awarded the couple a 25 out of 30, making it their best-scored dance of the season thus far.

The Double Elimination Is Coming!

5:04 PM:

Tom Bergeron announced it right before John Schneider's pre-taped package, but that long-feared double elimination is coming tonight.

This means we're going to be cutting down the field of contestants by a full 25 percent!

Kicking Things Off on the Right Foot

5:02 PM:

Daisy dukes? Check.

Flannel? Check.

Cowboy boots? Check.

Diamond-encrusted bikini tops? Sure, why not.

Yup, this Country Night kicked off with the perfect opening number to get us fired up for a fun, bombastic evening of country-themed performances.

An Elimination Trend Emerges

4:59 PM:

It's worth mentioning that Mary Lou's e limination marks the fifth straight woman in a row to get kicked off the show. In fact, it's only been women who have gotten eliminated thus far. In a remaining field of eight hopefuls, there are six guys and two ladies.

Could this be the first time in many years that DWTS has an all-male finals? We'll have to wait and see which star goes home tonight, but the odds are leaning that way.

Where We Stand After Last Weekâ€¦

4:57 PM:

After a fun Halloween Night full of spooky, goofy, and generally well-received performances, the two stars who found themselves on the chopping block were Mary Lou Retton and partner Sasha Farber, as well as Alexis Ren and her pro partner, Alan Bersten -- despite the fact that neither couple in jeopardy was at the bottom of the leaderboard.

Ultimately, it was the former Olympian who got the axe, leaving Alexis and Alan to continue to explore their burgeoning showmance for at least another week in the competition.< /p>

Also, with the show's semi-finals fast approaching, there's a very good chance we're finally going to get a double elimination this week, so that's got to be nerve-racking for all the couples this week.
