Country music star Lee Greenwood will join President Trump on the campaign trail twice before Election Day next week, the Trump campaign announced Sunday.
Greenwood, whose hit âGod Bless the USAâ has been part of the Trump campaign rally soundtrack since the president announced his bid for the White House in 2015, will take the stage Sunday evening in Chattanooga, Tenn. He'll also sing at Trump's final event of the 2018 midterm election cycle on Monday in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
"President Trump will be pleased to have Lee perform in person to end his historic, national midterm campaign tour on a red, white, and blue high note,â campaign chief operating officer Michael Glassner wrote Sunday in a statement.
Greenwood, who took part in the inaugurations of former Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush, performed at Trump's celebrations in 2017.
Conservative media personalities Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity will also appear as special guests at the Missouri campaign stop on Monday. Limbaugh is from the Cape Girardeau, but is now based in Florida.
A press release Sunday touted Limbaugh and Hannity as "longtime friends" of Trump, who are both "strong advocates" for the presidentâs "America First" agenda.
