Shadow Of The Tomb Raider For Nintendo Switch Sounds Unlikely

Don't get your hopes up about a Nintendo Switch version of Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Eidos Montreal lead game designer Heath Smith tells GameSpot that the studio has "no plans" for a Switch edition of the new action-adventure game.

Smith said Eidos Montreal is putting all of its effort and focus on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. He added that he is a personally a big fan of Nintendo's hybrid console, but it wasn't the right fit for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, at least not right now.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the third and final game in the trilogy that started with the 2013 reboot from Crystal Dynamics that continued with Rise of the Tomb Raider. Those games were released before the Nintendo Switch launched in March 2017.

GameSpot has a lot of new content around Shadow of the Tomb Raider today, including impressions of the first five hours an d new gameplay footage. For more, check out the video above to see new footage and hear what we thought.
